Hair Stylist

Position Objective

Provide the most suitable haircut and/or style based on the client’s preferred look, based on consulting with the client.

Primary Functions

• Listen, understand, and assess clients need and wants
• Recommend and offer the best alternatives that are suited for the individual client
• Perform haircutting and styling services fast and efficiently
• Work as a team with the color technicians and estheticians when consulting with a client
• Seize opportunities in continued growth as a total image consultant
• Keep current with fashion trends
• Assist and provide support in the continued growth and success of others
• Attend and participate in trade shows, fashion shows, media events when necessary
• Keep workstation clean and organized at all times
• Assist in general salon and housekeeping duties

Key Relationships

• Report directly to salon manager
• Interact and work closely with salon coordinator, assistants, other stylists and color technicians
