Apprentice/Assistant

Position Objective

This position will enable the individual to learn and experience the overall operation of a FIORIO salon through consulting, cutting, blow-drying, styling hair, and general housekeeping and operational duties.

Primary Functions

• Greet, attend to, and direct clients within the salon for the duration of their visit
• Take initiative and make every effort to ensure the salon runs smoothly, effectively, and efficiently at all times by assisting stylists, technicians, and salon coordinators
• Learn, practice and prefect skills in all aspects of the job
• Prepare physical inventory count of salon supplies to be handed to salon coordinator
• Share experiences with colleagues in order to promote continuing education
• Attend and participate trade shows, fashion shows, seminars when necessary
• Assist in general salon and housekeeping duties – sweep floor, wash and put away dishes, making tea or coffee for clients, etc…

Key Relationships

• Report directly to salon manager
• Interaction and take direction from other team members within the salon

• A graduate from a hairstyling school
• Enthusiastic, quick learner who will continuously practice the skills they have been taught
• Open minded and embraces change with enthusiasm
• Willing to go above and beyond for the client and for the salon
• Self starter and self motivator
